CD Promotional Video

CRD Records / Keble College Choir, Oxford

We recorded a Promotional Video CD of Mozart with the orchestra ‘Instruments of time and truth’ and the choir of Keble College, Oxford. This CD needed promotional video for the record label so we filmed the sessions.

The Brief

8 films to include music videos, interviews, snappy Instagram promos. Films should be casual fly on the wall type filming that communicate the music and performance of the sessions to listener to promote the rest of the CD.

The Approach

We had three cameras and two camera operators to film all of the sessions. The spec was to be ‘invisible’ on the day so not to disturb the natural flow of the CD sessions and yet to capture the mood and energy of the sessions. Interviews were done with the conductor, the label, the singers and the orchestral players.

The Outcome

The footage was very powerful in communicating the energy of the sessions, especially the conductor who was very animated! The video increased listener numbers and streaming numbers for the CD on Spotify and Apple music.
